Stewart Wilder

Co-Founder & President

Mr. Wilder is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Geology. After 20 years working in the mining industry in gold and silver in Idaho and iron ore mining in Minnesota and Newfoundland, the Wilders relocated to Boise in 2002.

An owner and President of Interim HealthCare of Idaho, providing senior care and medical staffing, Mr. Wilder has served as president and co-founder of the LiveWilder Foundation for youth suicide prevention and as past co-chair of the Idaho Suicide Prevention Action Collective as a mental health advocate, including public policy efforts. A member of the Idaho Behavioral Health Council by appointment of the Governor, he leads an implementation team on stigma reduction and participates in other mental health-focused cohorts.

Mr. Wilder also serves as President of the Sawtooth Interpretive and Historical Association in Stanley, Idaho. In 2013, the Wilders lost their 17-year-old son, Cameron, to suicide. Mr. Wilder’s passion is people and living a good life for all.

Dotti Owens

Member

Dotti Owens is a dedicated forensic consultant and former Ada County Coroner, serving from 2015 to 2023, with 20 years of experience in medicolegal death investigation. Her work has focused on strengthening forensic practice, improving death investigation systems, and advancing public health outcomes. Dotti holds a master’s degree in criminal justice administration and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Health with an emphasis on suicide prevention. She is certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators (D-ABMDI) and, during her tenure as coroner, led her office to achieve accreditation through the International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners and the National Association of Medical Examiners.

Through Dotti Owens Consulting, she provides education, training, policy guidance, and expert consultation focused on suicide prevention, overdose prevention, data quality, and the intersection of public health and medicolegal systems. Dotti is actively engaged in national professional education and prevention efforts and participates in organizations such as the American Academy of Suicidology, contributing to the advancement of evidence-informed approaches to suicide prevention and community health. Her work emphasizes translating data, field experience, and prevention science into practical education, training, and policy solutions that support local agencies and improve population health outcomes.

John Leary

Member

John Leary brings more than 20 years of experience in Healthcare Information Technology, with a career distinguished by his ability to navigate complex technical challenges while effectively engaging individuals in high-stress environments. His professional success is rooted in clear communication, collaborative problem-solving, and a deep understanding of both technology and human dynamics. He has played a key role in developing suicide prevention workflows within health care systems, including the design of electronic medical record tools that support screening for suicide ideation and patient mental health, and provided the architecture for studies focused on suicide prevention as a part of health care.

John is passionate about community education and advocacy as a former certified trainer in ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) and safeTALK, where he focused on training volunteer hotline responders, state employees, and community members. John is committed to expanding access to evidence-based suicide prevention education and envisions a statewide network of trainers serving communities throughout Idaho.

Jean Fisher

Co-Founder & Advisory Member

Jean Fisher is the chief deputy for the special crimes division of the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office. Ms Fisher has dedicated her career working with some of the community’s most vulnerable population affected by child abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence. She graduated from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1989 and immediately began her professional career as a deputy prosecutor. In 2015, Ms. Fisher additionally became the first COO of Faces Hope Victim Center. That same year she co-founded the Idaho Suicide Prevention Coalition, creating a cohesive, statewide coalition consisting of leaders within the existing non-profit suicide prevention organizations. Ms. Fisher is married to Nate and they have raised two sons.

Nate Fisher

Co-Founder, Public Policy Advisor, Lobbyist

Nate has been in the political arena for over 30 years, beginning with an Idaho Congressman, followed by service under four Idaho Governors. He concentrated on energy and natural resource issues. Seventeen years ago, Nate entered the public policy arena as principal of Fisher Public Policy, where he works for a wide range of clients.

During the Idaho Legislative Session, Nate proudly calls the State Capitol building his “office,” working for ISPC and other clients. His passion lies with cause-based efforts in Idaho. Nate was a founding member of the Idaho Suicide Prevention Coalition, which was created in 2015.
